There are loads of great things that I can do in my bedroom, now:
- sleep comfortably (without other stuff taking up room on my bed, and with nice, clean, crisp sheets)
- dress easily (without having to dig through piles of clothing trying to find out which ones are clean, and which are dirty)
- work efficiently (without having to shuffle through mountains of papers to find a suitable pen, or my favourite notebook)
- watch movies (without having to search under my bed, in my closet or around the house for the DVD)
The reason I can do all of this now? Well, it’s because, my room is clean! It has gone from this:

To this:

Of course, most credit must go to my mom, who was actually driven crazy enough by my mess to kickstart the cleaning of my room (I also paid her 40$ to do my laundry). In the end, we threw out 4 big bags of garbage, and are donating 3 big bags (that’s half my wardrobe!) of (pretty new looking… I’m not one to really damage my clothes) clothing to one of our local homeless shelters (that I used to volunteer for, in high school.
).
The fun doesn’t stop there, because with the new cleanliness of my room, I am inspired to take on other things that I’ve let go to far. The first being relieving a bunch of crap from my laptop (and dumping it on my harddrive) and the second being organizing the entries in this blog into better, more specific categories (the old ones are mainly from when I was using Blogger during 06-07– because of school and Katimavik and my lack of time to maintain a full site). With this post I’ll be at 397 entries, so it could take a bit of time! Hopefully, I’ll also be able to edit out some of the seemigly useless posts as well.
Other than that, today is my first day off alone since December 15th, and we all know what that means– Disney Sing It! Yay!
