In the spirit of having no effing clue of an interesting topic to post about (regardless of how many of you accepted the drivel I dished out yesterday - THANK YOU! You guys are really lovely for humouring me!), and because Rachael tagged me, I have decided to do this meme. What can I say? I’m desperate, I love Rachael, and I love an opportunity to add another entry to the amazingly awesome Rachael category on my blog! For those keeping track, the last entry mentioned her, and the one before that was partially inspired by her, although I did not put it in that category! What can I say, I am easily influenced by her, ha ha.
Anyway, ON TO THE MEME (stop blabbing, Aisling, nobody cares. Yes, they do. No, they don’t, and stop talking to yourself. Fine.):
What you have to do in this is the following:
- List five vices you have, with a description if you want to.
- Tag five bloggers for this meme.
- Link back to the blogger who tagged you, and this post if you want to be nice!
Right. Five vices I fear most of them will be food-related, and I don’t want you to think I am a fat whacker. *sigh* Anyway. Here we go.
Cheese and pasta:
I am addicted to pasta, and cheese. I can eat it at ANY time during the day. You will never find a time when I will say “No, I would not like some cheese and pasta.” It just doesn’t happen. It never will. I am on the constant crusade to make the perfect cheesy pasta, and it is one of those never-ending things. There is ALWAYS room for improvement. I take my commitment to cheese and pasta VERY seriously. (The vice: gluttony.)
Stationery:
All of it. Notebooks, pens, pencils, highlighters, post-its, paper, staplers, hole punchers. I adore stationery, and it is no secret. For my last six birthdays, I have received post-its from my friends. I have ones in all sorts of shapes, colours and sizes. (Last year, I got “A” ones. They’re awesome.) I have FOUR baskets of writing utensils on my desk, and other pens scattered around the entire house. I collect notebooks- I have several boxes of them stashed in the storage room, some written in, some not. I can spend hours in stationery shops, and spend a fortune, which is why, when I am with friends, I am no longer allowed to wander the office supply stores on my own anymore. (The vice: greed.)
Magazines:
Sometime after I entered the 7th grade, I became addicted to magazines. At first, it was because I wanted to become a writer, but soon it morphed into a love of the layout and compositions of the pages. It’s to the point where I run to the store, snatch up a magazine, and examine each and every page, then I go back, and read the articles! I also, never throw these magazines away, so I have stashes of them (next to my notebooks and handbags). (The vice: vanity.)
Handbags:
I can’t even begin to describe my love for handbags. I have SO MANY, that I don’t even feel comfortable disclosing how many are in my possession. You can see a few of them on my fashion page (scroll down). I love them. My favourite sort are large ones that can carry my life in them. I like to be able to carry at least one notebook, several pens, my iPod, my cell phone, eyeliner, lip gloss, a first-aid kit, one or two magazines, maybe a novel, my wallet and a bottle of water. I’m currently looking at this beauty, which can carry all of those things, PLUS my laptop. Come to momma, big boy. (The vice: addiction.)
Museums:
I am a NERD. I’m not ashamed to admit it at all! I love history, and therefore, I love museums. I can spend hours walking through them, and catching every detail of every exhibit. While I am not particularly science-orientated, I even love science museums!! It’s weird, but… I guess that’s just one of those quirks in my personality. Ha ha. Embarrassing confession time: I’ve always wanted to go on a date to a museum. One of the really big ones. And… maybe be a little bit frisky in some darkened exhibit somewhere… Right. I’ll leave a little bit to the imagination with that one! Ha ha. (The vice: … Hmmm… tricky. Well, due to my museum-centric fantasy, I suppose… lust? Ha ha.)
Okay, so, that’s it! Now, I have to tag people…. hmmmm… I guess, I will tag: Yara, Tiffany, Catherine, Nika and… I would tag Chien Yee, but she’s on hiatus. So, if she comes back soon, she’s tagged!
Can someone explain to me what vices are?
*cries*
Cheese and pasta are awesome! But together… not so much. I ate so much mac n’cheese once that now I can’t even look at it :P. Aww shucks, I shall blog with this meme tomorrow! Thanks :).
Vices are like… addictions, things you absolutely NEED to get through each day :P
I tagged Catherine first. Step off mah bitch! :P
Grrrr I’ve been tagged XP *in fact I’m glad to be tagged! I have something to blog about!*
Don’t worry I’ll deal with it when I’m done with my hiatus
Museums are not a vice. Take that one off! How can you list museum-going as a vice?
Even wanting to get frisky in one doesn’t make it a vice.
I like stationery too. We should write each other? Greed is bad, but stationery collections are good, so so good.
Your vices are so weak, Aisling. :P
Lol I love pasta and cheese! although maybe not together though, too much cheesey pasta makes me feel a bit nauseous.
I got to wonder, with all the boxes you have, lol how do you find space for it?
... been tagged by Lene and seeing everybody is doing it I’m going to answer it as well, and here is what I have to ...
... Aisling tagged me for it (thanks). Here are the rules: ...
... in 5 hours (Yay for traveling at last!), and first off I need to complete my Five Vices Meme, which Aisling and Louise tagged me! What you have to do in this is the ...
in my country cheese and pasta is the expensive food lol….
but i just wondering, why you still addict to magazine when you can find a lot things from interenet anyway ?
Regards.
